Holiday Lights at Lakeside

It’s the jolliest time of the year again. The trees are decorated, the bows are tied, and the presents are wrapped. At Lakeside at Waterman Village around this time of year, the streets are lit up with thousands of twinkling holiday lights. The trees are illuminated, and a walk around campus feels like traveling through a winter wonderland.
Our community is excited to bring the memorable Mount Dora tradition of Holiday Lights to the Lakeside campus. Lakeside at Waterman Village will be hosting a holiday extravaganza this December for residents, their friends and family. The local high school marching band will perform Christmas carols for everyone to enjoy and sing along to. Waterman Village CEO Andrew Dujon will deliver a message of holiday cheer.
Indoors, there’ll be carolers, and Santa and Mrs. Claus will be stopping by for pictures with the residents and visiting children. Refreshments, including hot cocoa and holiday treats, will be served, and there’ll even be a magician performing. Outdoors in the courtyard, you’ll enjoy a nativity scene complete with a petting zoo.
While we encourage residents to join the festivities on campus, they also enjoy celebrating home traditions with their families! Some decorate their residences with Christmas trees, lights and decorations. Some serve a huge dinner spread around the menorah. Others celebrate by gift-giving and simply enjoying time with friends and family. No matter what traditions you honor, celebrating the holidays at Lakeside at Waterman Village is always a good idea.
