Parkinson’s Support Group
This group is for people with Parkinson’s and their loved ones/caregivers. The group is hosted by Lisa McDaniel, occupational therapist, and Ruth Pandolph, physical therapist of the Outpatient Therapy Department. The group meets Tuesdays at 2 pm in the Lakeside Card Room.
VIP November Thanksgiving
V.I.P. is a support group of visually impaired persons who meet monthly to get information and help improve their daily living to the fullest extent. Guest speakers from various organizations and businesses guide the residents through the latest technology and services available to the visually impaired.
Caregivers Support Group
VITAS Healthcare offers a caregiver support group focusing on caregiver stress, community resources, and tips & tactics for caregiving. They meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday from 11 am to 12 noon in the Lodge Card Room.
Bridgewater Grief Support Group
If you have lost a loved one and need a safe place to speak, join us on Wednesdays, 1:30 to 2 pm in 300 Brain Wellness Room.
Heart Disease Support Group
The focus will be on those who battle heart disease, which kills more people each year than any other disease. The group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, 10:30 am, in Lakeside Multi-Purpose Room, sponsored by Outpatient Therapy, with Lisa McDaniel as the leader. There will be a general discussion of the heart and related diseases and plenty of time to talk to one another. We will try to have a topic planned for each meeting and look forward to feedback from everyone.
Solo Active Aging
Solo aging is simply aging on your own. For many people, this means aging without a spouse, adult children, or other relatives to rely on. Join us as we discuss various ways and experiences to make this journey easier.
